Hansi Flick’s Barcelona signing delayed | OneFootball

The date on which La Liga giants Barcelona intend to unveil the club’s new manager has today been pushed back.

That’s according to German football insider Florian Plettenberg.

Recent days had seen it widely reported that Hansi Flick was set to put pen to paper on terms with Barcelona on Monday, after the Blaugrana’s season came to a close earlier this evening.

This, of course, comes after Xavi’s dismissal was confirmed earlier this week.

However, owing to a last-minute change of plans, the operation has been pushed back by 24 hours.

As per the aforementioned Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, ‘it is now planned that Hansi Flick will sign with FC Barcelona on Tuesday’.

The official announcement regarding his arrival, too, is expected at some point on Tuesday.

It is also reiterated that the Barca faithful need not be concerned, with the terms of a contract agreement through 2026 having already been tied up by the two parties.
