According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, it has been learned that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has placed great trust in Eric Garcia and sees him as an important part of the club’s future.
The German coach is determined to ensure that Garcia feels valued at Barcelona, aiming to keep him at the club for many years.
His growing importance in the team has been particularly noticeable in the latter half of the season, as Flick has shown confidence in him by preventing his departure in the winter transfer window.
Despite Garcia having a solid reputation, his role at Barcelona could become even more significant due to several factors.
Inigo Martinez is nearing the later stages of his career, Andreas Christensen has been linked with a summer exit, and while Ronald Araujo has renewed his contract, uncertainty remains about his long-term future.

These circumstances could open the door for Garcia to establish himself as a key figure in the defensive setup.
During the winter transfer window, the Spanish defender was on the verge of leaving for Italian side Como. The two clubs had nearly agreed on a deal worth €7 million plus add-ons, with the transfer close to completion.
However, Flick stepped in at the last moment and blocked the move, making it clear that Garcia was part of his plans. Since then, Garcia has only strengthened his position within the squad.
The defender has continued to impress with his ability to play out from the back and his understanding of Flick’s tactical approach, which relies heavily on a high defensive line.
Beyond his defensive contributions, he has also made an impact going forward, scoring crucial goals that have further underlined his growing influence on the team.
With Flick’s backing, Garcia appears set to play an increasingly vital role for Barcelona in the seasons ahead.
