Hansi Flick steps in to block Barcelona star’s sale | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has made clear to the club’s board that a transfer-linked member of his squad will not be permitted to leave this summer.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Fermín López as the player in question.

The name of midfielder Fermín has of course proven an altogether prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona across the summer to date.

This comes amid the understanding that the 22-year-old has been earmarked as a leading transfer target by a whole host of clubs.

The likes of Chelsea and Bayern Munich have both been credited with a keen interest in his signature, with some outlets having suggested that, for the right price, Barca would be open to sanctioning a sale.

As alluded to above, however, any such operation has been shut down ahead of time by none other than Hansi Flick.

As per a report from AS:

‘Fermín is not being touched. Hansi Flick’s directive, which has Deco’s approval, has been respected by the club, which will not sell him this summer despite the fact that he had been on some exit lists.’

Owing chiefly to his stellar attitude, Fermín is labelled as one of Flick’s ‘favourite’ Blaugrana stars.
