Hansi Flick reveals his ‘toughest’ Barcelona selection decision of the season | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an insight into the selection call which he found most difficult across the campaign to date.

Flick, of course, is fresh off putting the finishing touches on what has been a spectacular debut season in Catalunya’s capital.

In the knowledge that an eventual victory would see them secure the La Liga title, Barcelona made the trip to RCDE Stadium on Thursday night, for a meeting with neighbours Espanyol.

When all was said and done, secure all three points is precisely what Barca managed, adding a 28th Spanish top-flight crown to their silverware cabinet in the process.

Added to his previous triumphs in both the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup, Hansi Flick, in turn, has secured a domestic treble in his very first season in charge in Catalunya.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of Thursday’s Derbi Barceloní, the German was therefore drawn on which personnel call, if any, proved most difficult to make en route to this success.

And Flick went on to highlight the battle between Wojciech Szczęsny and Iñaki Peña for the no.1 spot in his squad in his response:

“The toughest decision of this season was the goalkeeper decision.”
