According to a report from SPORT, it has become clear that even after signing Joan Garcia, Roony Bardghji, and potentially Nico Williams, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick wants more signings this summer.

This growing shopping list shows how concerned the German coach is about the current state of his squad.

Flick went off on holiday with a list of targets and the club’s promise that they would do everything to strengthen the team before the new season kicks off.

A good time to strengthen

It is telling that even though Flick accepted the club’s financial struggles when he signed, he now believes Barcelona must act quickly to stay competitive at the highest level.

Flick sees this summer as a historic chance to create what he hopes will be the best team in the world.

But the fact that he wants even more reinforcements despite recent arrivals signals that he knows Barça are still a step behind top sides, who are stacked with quality in every position.

Flick’s two obsessions

It has come to light that Flick has two main worries. First, he feels the full-back positions need upgrades.

There were initial talks of a new left-back if Gerard Martin left, but the youngster does not want to move to the Premier League, which now opens the door for Barça to instead look at the right side.

Bringing in a specialist right-back would ease the workload on Jules Kounde, who has had to play almost every game. Hector Fort is still too inexperienced, and Eric Garcia is only a temporary solution when injuries pile up.

Second, Flick wants a new centre-forward to give Robert Lewandowski some rest. The plan is to make a big investment on a striker in 2026, but Barcelona are already searching for affordable options now to provide immediate help.

Everything is being prepared to try and give Flick what he wants, but it is clear Barcelona know they have a lot of catching up to do.
