Hansi Flick provides double Barcelona injury update ahead of Inter Milan | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Friday provided updates on the wellbeing of two sidelined members of his squad.

The pair in question? Alejandro Balde, and Robert Lewandowski.

Both defender Balde and striker Lewandowski have of course spent recent weeks on the treatment table.

This comes owing to respective muscular injuries, the former having picked up a hamstring issue, and the latter a thigh concern.

As much came as a major blow for Barcelona, in the thick of a crucial stretch of the campaign amid their ongoing pursuit of a historic treble.

Ahead of a Champions League semi-final return leg meeting with Inter Milan next Tuesday, all associated with the Blaugrana will in turn no doubt be interested to hear of updates being provided on the status of both Balde and Lewandowski.

Speaking during his latest press conference on Friday, Hansi Flick explained:

“We’ll wait until the day after tomorrow for both Lewandowski and Balde to understand their recovery. Balde is going on the right track.”
