Hansi Flick pleads for patience with Marc Roca | OneFootball

Recent Bayern Munich signing Marc Roca still needs time to adjust before he can feature regularly, coach Hansi Flick has insisted.

He arrived in Bavaria last month shortly before the transfer window closed but hasn’t yet made an impression.

The central midfielder has played in just one of the five games since his arrival, against Düren in the DFB Pokal, leading to questions about his place.

“The chance or situation to put him in just hasn’t arrived yet,” Flick is quoted as saying by kicker.

“We still haven’t had too many training sessions yet with the entire squad.

“He’s a good player, is very hard-working and has a very good, professional attitude so that’s a big positive for us.”

Flick also hinted that the nature of his position, in relation to fellow arrivals Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting or Douglas Costa, has made it a little more difficult too.

“It is easier when you are a more advanced, offensive player to get up to speed because you can rely on individual quality then,” he added.

Time and patience appear to be the order of the day.
