Barcelona’s La Masia continues to deliver exciting prospects, and one name drawing increasing attention is Swiss defender Eman Kospo.
As reported by SPORT, the towering centre-back has made remarkable strides this season, prompting the club to monitor his development with great interest.
Part of the same generation as Pau Cubarsi, Kospo is currently with Oscar Lopez’s Juvenil A side. His adaptation has required patience, but insiders from Barça’s youth setup describe his progress as “exponential”.
Kospo possesses the ideal physical frame for a central defender. His build, combined with a natural presence and leadership qualities, has earned him comparisons to traditional centre-back stalwarts.
While his technical abilities still need refining, there is no question about his potential.
More than just size, Kospo has shown maturity in key moments. He is decisive in duels, displays leadership on the pitch, and maintains composure under pressure—traits rarely seen in players of his age.

It is no surprise that Hansi Flick, known for promoting youth and tactical discipline, has taken an early interest in the 17-year-old. Ahead of the Clasico, Flick called Kospo up to train with the senior team.
The fact that Kospo is already on the radar of the first-team manager speaks volumes about how highly he’s rated.
Kospo’s next steps are still being mapped out. With Juvenil A preparing for a crucial Champions Cup quarterfinal this Sunday, all eyes will again be on him. But what happens after the season ends will be just as telling.
Barça Atletic’s fate in the third tier remains uncertain. Should they be relegated to the Segunda RFEF, Kospo could play a vital role while still being eligible for the Youth League next season.
There is also growing talk of him joining the first-team squad for pre-season this summer, an opportunity that could fast-track his integration into top-level football.
For now, though, Kospo is focused on improving, absorbing everything around him, and making the most of every chance he gets.
