Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the ongoing exploits of a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks.
The player in question? Robert Lewandowski.
The name of veteran frontman Lewandowski has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital once more over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the Pole proved himself the decisive figure in Barcelona keeping alive the club’s flawless start to the La Liga campaign.
En route to a 1-0 downing of Getafe, Lewandowski bagged the only goal from close range inside the 20-minute mark.
And, post-match, boss Hansi Flick could not help but wax lyrical about the continued excellence of his side’s attacking spearhead:
“Lewandowski has been the best striker in the world for the last 10 years. His job is to play up front and score goals, and he does that.”
