Hansi Flick has had a very successful first season with FC Barcelona as he won the La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup titles with almost the same team that had ended the 2023-24 season trophyless.

His achievements in this first season at the Catalan club have been very encouraging, and the fans would already be excited to see their team once again competing for all the big titles next year.

The German coach was quick to adapt to the Blaugrana club, despite having no previous association with it. One factor that helped him in this regard was the presence of the former Barcelona player as one of his collaborators, i.e., Thiago Alcantara, who had also won the treble with Flick at Bayern Munich.

But now, with the season over, Flick is again considering the Spaniard’s return to his staff. Thiago himself is keen for such a reunion, and both parties are looking for a way to make this happen.

The former midfielder is present at Formentera

In fact, Mundo Deportivo reports that he is currently in Formentera, where the German tactician has invited his entire coaching staff, along with the former midfielder, for a few days.

Thiago retired as a player last summer, and after his time with Flick at Barcelona, he has been spending time with his family and has embarked on some professional projects. He is keen to again become a part of Flick’s staff, but it remains to be seen what his exact role will be.
