With such success at club level, Flick has increasingly been touted as a replacement for Joachim Löw at national level.

However, Flick insists he is more than content to continue his fantastic progress at the Allianz Arena.

“I have a contract with Bayern Munich until 2023. I feel good in Munich, I feel good in the club,” the 55-year-old told BILD am Sonntag.

“I have a great team, a great coaching team, a great staff around it. That’s why I have a lot of fun here. At the moment I have absolutely no reason to change anything about it.”

Flick also cited his close relationship with Löw as a reason he would not be interested in taking over Die Mannschaft after Euro 2020 this summer.

“To be honest: I’m friends with Jogi,” he said.

“We worked very closely and well together (with the national team) for eight years. I think he did a great job, he’s still doing a great job.”

Bayern have little time to rest on their laurels after their heroics in the Middle East.

They are back in Bundesliga action on Monday when they host Arminia Bielefeld.
