The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have made clear their stance on the potential departure of youngster Marc Casadó.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.
Casadó has of course spent recent weeks solidifying himself as one of the first names on the team sheet of new Barcelona boss Hansi Flick.
The 21-year-old has built a stellar deep-lying midfield partnership with Pedri, shining in and out of possession alike.
Casadó’s influence in the attacking third has been increasingly apparent over the last fortnight in particular, with the Spaniard having notched an assist in each of his last three appearances, too.
With such consistent excellence, though, comes inevitable outside interest.
A number of Premier League clubs are understood to be interested in bringing Casadó to England with a view to next season, of the opinion that his all-action stylings would be perfectly suited to the division.
Those of a Barcelona persuasion eager for their side’s engine room gem to stay put, though, need not fret.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of Fabrizio Romano:
‘Hansi Flick and Deco both see Casadó as key part of the project.’ The Blaugrana academy product, in fact, is considered ‘untouchable’.
