Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has admitted that he has not ruled out shaking up his midfield, for the club’s upcoming return to action on the continent.

Barca are of course primed to kick their Champions League campaign back into gear on Wednesday night.

A highly-anticipated meeting with German heavyweights Bayern Munich awaits, in Catalunya’s capital.

Faced by the media this afternoon, the subject of his line-up plans for the clash was, in turn, put to the aforementioned Hansi Flick.

Specifically, the Blaugrana’s headmaster was asked about the possibility of Frenkie de Jong stepping into the middle of the park, for his first start of the campaign.

And, with Eric García’s absence through injury already confirmed, Flick refused to rule out as much, in responding:

“The plan was for him to start against Sevilla, but he felt some discomfort… We are happy to have him now, he’s available. We will see [if he starts].”
