Hansi Flick arrival gives Barcelona starlet a better chance of securing first team place

A number of previously forgotten Barcelona players will have the chance to prove themselves to Hansi Flick when pre-season training gets underway in the next couple of weeks, and Pablo Torre is one that falls into this category. However, the 21-year-old still looks more likely to be on his way out.

Torre was signed from Racing Santander in 2022, and despite being highly-rated by club officials, he has never got a proper chance to impress. He was shipped out to Girona last summer, and since then, he has been overtaken by Fermin Lopez, making his chances to establish a place in the first team even slimmer.

Still, there is hope for Torre. He prioritises staying at Barcelona for the start of pre-season so that he has the chance to impress Flick, as per MD. Furthermore, he fits better into Flick’s 4-2-3-1, compared to Xavi Hernandez’s 4-3-3.

Despite all this, it seems inevitable that Torre leaves Barcelona this summer, with club bosses more likely to pursue a permanent sale. Girona have been rumoured with making a second move.
