Hansi Flick has expressed his annoyance at not being able to call upon Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller for next weekend’s match with Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Bayern Munich moved to within just two wins of the Bundesliga title after beating Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 on Saturday.

However, both Lewandowski and Müller were booked meaning they will be suspended for their next game.

“It’s annoying but we cannot change it and have to accept the situation,” Flick said post-match.

“I spoke to the referee, he said that Lewandowski was hitting the opponent, I didn’t see it so I cannot really comment.

“It is what it is. We accept it.”
