While Hansi flick has conceded that Bayern won’t win any style points for their recent form, he remains very happy with his side.
The German champions have nonetheless been impressive since the international break, drawing once and winning their last two fixtures.
Ahead of their clash with Atlético Madrid on Tuesday night, Flick discussed their performances – but mostly importantly, Bayern’s results.
“We want to play successful football and at the moment, we’re winning games,” Flick said at his virtual press conference.
“Currently, we wouldn’t win a beauty award for our football.
“But the team is able to fight for 90 minutes and that comes without much preparation for games too.
“We’re happy with what we have achieved to far and we’re doing well.”
Flick also hinted that Niklas Süle could return from injury during the clash at the Wanda Metropolitano.
“We still have one day left to decide and didn’t see much in training so we’ll decide on Tuesday who plays,” he added. “Niklas’ [starting] chances aren’t bad.”
