There has been another managerial casualty in the Bundesliga.
Hannes Wolf was dismissed as manager of Stuttgart on Sunday, just a day after he suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Schalke.
The decision was announced by the club on Twitter and follows an evening of ‘intensive talks’.
Wolf took over at Stuttgart in September 2016, after Stuttgart had been relegated to the 2. Bundesliga.
The 36-year-old Die Roten straight back up to the top-flight but they have struggled on their return.
Stuttgart sit in 15th place in the table — just three points from Werder Bremen in the relegation play-off spot and four points from Hamburg in the automatic relegation places.
They’ve won only once since November in the Bundesliga and are yet to win an away match in the league this season.
