A new adventure for Hamza Igamane

It had been in the works for several days, and now it’s official: Hamza Igamane is heading to France, signing a five-year contract with Lille.
The French club announced the news on Friday, August 29, 2025, via an official statement on its X account: "He’s a well-rounded and promising attacking player who will now bolster Lille’s offensive line. LOSC and Rangers FC (Scotland) have reached an agreement for the transfer of Hamza Igamane (22). The Moroccan international striker has signed on for the next five seasons, through to 2030."
It should be noted that the 22-year-old forward forced his departure by clashing with his club’s management and skipping training sessions.
The former AS FAR Rabat player netted 16 goals and provided 3 assists in 49 matches last season. He will look to shine in Lille’s colors, where he’ll wear the number 29 jersey.
A top target for Bruno Genesio to strengthen the attack this summer, Igamane cost LOSC around 10 million euros in this summer transfer window, putting an end to a long-running saga.
