Rangers’ impressive 4-0 win v Romanians FCSB has come at some cost, as manager Philippe Clement confirmed there are a further three new injuries added to Rangers’ current crop, with a number of players still sidelined until further notice.

Ibrox Noise takes you through the latest on Rangers’ injury front as a result of Thursday’s endeavours in Glasgow’s south side.

Rabbi Matondo:

Still out we’re afraid – manager predicted the usual 7-10 days but no one really knows when this boy will be fit to actually play again. Been totally hampered by repeated injuries and is expected to return to training but we can’t know for sure when.

Danilo:

He’s obviously back in the match picture now but when he will be ready to properly feature is another guess – he’s physically fit, having scored in that recent B match, but we couldn’t even guess when he will be starting again.

Ridvan Yilmaz:

Clement hoped he’d be back in training this week and he got his wish – how far the Turk is off from featuring in the match day squad is another matter – he’s getting there but not quite ready yet. He’s been out a while now.

Tom Lawrence:

One of the new ones, Lawrence picked up a knock in this one and was seen looking very uncomfortable – was withdrawn at half time, in an unwanted return to his injury-laden past. This is the longest the Welshman has gone without injury at Rangers, and whatever you think of his ability, we’d rather he wasn’t injured. We’ll get the prognosis in due course.

Leon Balogun:

Clement claims this was just cramping, and in fairness it did look much like that, but it’s never nice to see a boy of his age with such injury issues stricken on the deck in clear discomfort. Hopefully this is a quick turnaround because Rangers’ defence looked good with him in it.

Cyriel Dessers:

He was blinded! Literally blinded by some kind of head knock which left him unable to see. Overlooking the poor attitude when he came off and the poor performance he put in, Dessers will not want to have vision issues to add to his current woes. We hope that one isn’t serious.

And the rest of the squad is fully available.

Still, 6 injuries or unavailables isn’t ideal going into November, is it?
