It was in the pipeline and now it’s official. Warmed Omari will play in the Bundesliga next season.

The German club has confirmed the loan signing of the Comorian defender from Stade Rennais. It’s a solid reinforcement for the backline of the newly promoted German top-flight side.

One of the country’s most storied clubs, Hamburg endured tough years following their relegation to the second division in the 2017-2018 season. After seven long seasons, they are finally back in the Bundesliga.

A nine-time Comoros international, Warmed Omari joined Rennes at the age of 14. He made his Ligue 1 debut in 2021 and has since racked up 94 appearances in all competitions. Last season, he was loaned out to Lyon.
