Borussia Dortmund welcomed Freiburg to the Westfalenstadion on Saturday and the game produced a memorable moment for attacker Sébastien Haller.
Dortmund’s third goal of the game came through the Ivory Coast international, who scored his first for the club after joining from Ajax last summer.
Shortly after the transfer, Haller was diagnosed with testicular cancer and subsequently required seven months of treatment only recently making his return to action.
It’s his first goal since May 2022 and the Yellow Wall erupted when it found the net.
Fittingly, today also happens to be World Cancer Day – which Dortmund acknowledged ahead of kickoff.
What a sight in Germany.
