Chelsea clashed heads with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Blues made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 12th minute when Julian Alvarez found the back of the net. Frank Lampard’s side failed to mount a comeback and went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.
The West London club failed to score the equaliser in the second half and crashed to a lackluster 1-0 loss at the Etihad.
GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 5.5/10
The Spaniard made just one good save in the game and won’t be pleased after shipping in a goal early in the game.
CB: Thiago Silva – 7/10
Silva gave a good account of himself when defending inside his half and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.
CB: Wesley Fofana – 6.5/10
Fofana made some crucial defensive contributions but failed to keep a clean sheet.
CB: Trevoh Chalobah – 6.5/10
He cleared his lines when required and was a threat at the other end of the pitch.

The Spanish talent struggled to get into the flow of the game and did well to last the whole game.
CM: Enzo Fernandez – 6.5/10
Fernandez made two decent runs with the ball but was mostly ineffective in the final third.
CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 6.5/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and was accurate with his passing.
LM: Lewis Hall – 7.5/10
Hall had some lively moments in the final third and got stuck in with a lot of solid tackles as well.
CAM: Conor Gallagher – 6.5/10
He came back to defend when required and made one decent run with the ball.
ST: Kai Havertz – 6.5/10
The German talent showed a few flashes of what he can do but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
ST: Raheem Sterling – 6.5/10
He caused a few problems for his old club but was toothless in front of their goal.
