According to Sky Sports, former Wales international and West Bromwich Albion striker Hal Robson-Kanu has offered to come out of retirement and play for Wrexham next season.
“I’ll come out of retirement and come and play for @Wrexham_afc next season. I’ll also give my salary to the charity of the fans choosing,” Robson-Kanu wrote in reply to an Instagram post by club owner Ryan Reynolds after the Yeovil match.
Robson-Kanu has made 94 appearances in the Premier League scoring 14 goals whilst providing three assists and he has also scored five times for his country including a memorable finish during Wales’ Euro 2016 quarter-final victory against Belgium.
Wrexham are currently the league-leaders in the National League and they have the opportunity to clinch the title and automatic promotion to the Football League on Saturday against Boreham Wood in front of their home fans at the Racecourse Ground.
If the Welsh club are to secure promotion to League 2, it will be their first time back in the division since 2008.
