Achraf Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano has shut down rumours linking the Paris Saint-Germain defender with a return to Inter Milan.
Hakimi switched Inter for PSG in an initial €60 million move in 2021, but reports suggest the versatile right-back wants a return to San Siro Stadium after two years in Paris.
The 24-year-old’s spell at the French capital has been riddled with ups and downs, but he has remained a key figure for Les Parisiens since his arrival.
Hakimi has not had the best year in a PSG shirt this term but still bagged five goals and four assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.
The Morocco international is reportedly unsettled in Paris, and his agent has done little to quell transfer speculation but insists his client has a contract with the French giants.
“Achraf is a PSG player, with whom he still has a three-year contract,” Camano said (via Calciomercato).
“Would he like to go back to Milan? It’s not about what they would like. The reality is that he is their player. He loves Inter – he was happy in Milan, but this is the reality today.”
Inter could be in the market for right-back reinforcements, with Denzel Dumfries repeatedly linked with a move away from San Siro this summer.
The Nerazzurri’s recent upturn in fortunes on the field has helped their economic situation, having qualified for next season’s Champions League while preparing to face Manchester City in this year’s final.
With more money to splash in the transfer market, Inter are looking to significantly bolster their squad while hanging on to key players ahead of next season.
Alessandro Bastoni, Stefan De Vrij, and Francesco Acerbi are among the players in line for new contracts, while the Nerazzurri will need a replacement for PSG-bound Milan Skriniar.
However, whether they can fund a move for Hakimi remains to be seen, as PSG will demand a considerable fee to convince them into a sale.
