Chelsea’s latest signing has offically acknowledged his move to Stamford Bridge for the first time, via social media.

The Morrocan international has taken to Instagram to share his thoughts about the impending move to Chelsea, and what he hopes to achieve during his final months in Amsterdam.

Ziyech will cost around £40m. A snip for a player of his undoubted ability. The Ajax man boasts an impressive record during his time in the Dutch capital. In 159-appearances, Ziyech has 48-goals, and 82-assists to his name.

Having returned from injury last night, Ziyech was very thankful for the messages of support he had received. After noting his move to the Blues, the 26-year-old told Ajax fans he still has a lot to give by saying ‘first I have some unfinished business to handle’.

Ziyech has still officially to agree terms, but it appears to be a foregone conclusion he will put pen to paper in the near future.

Capturing a player of the Morrocan’s quality is a sure fire sign Chelsea mean business heading into next season.

Frank Lampard was unable to add to his squad last summer due to a two-window transfer embargo. However, that was reduced to one-window on appeal last December. Even so the Blues didn’t add to make any signings during the January window.

Ziyech has great versality, being capable of playing on either wing or as a number-ten. It’s likely he will play on the right-hand-side, using his magical left foot to cut inside.

Ajax officially announced his departure with a tweet that contained the hashtag #wizardofAMS. The Blues will certainly be hoping to see those tricks being showcased in a Chelsea shirt next season.
