Hakim Ziyech upsets Chelsea fans with badly timed Instagram post | OneFootball

Hakim Ziyech has gradually irritated Chelsea fans more and more – mostly with his performances, but perhaps also with his slightly detached demeanour.

That’s not his fault, or his responsibility, but it’s the truth, unfortunately.

He’s not helped matters today. Fans are looking for reasons to justify their dislike, and he handed one to them on a plate today when he posted an Instagram memory of a goal – AGAINST Chelsea.

It probably wasn’t meant as a dig –  people have pointed out that it’s three years since he scored the goal – hence the memory.

But he’s got to recognise how people will take it.

It felt like Ziyech would have left in the summer if there had been an acceptable offer, and even January could see him go if another club are willing to take the plunge on the Morocco star. A good World Cup could boost his profile.
