L’Équipe report this evening that Hakim Ziyech’s loan deal from Chelsea to Paris Saint-Germain could be set to collapse, with the Premier League club said to have failed to send the necessary documents across in time.

The 29-year-old had personally pushed for the move today in the wake of his dwindling playing time in West London, where he has played since a 2020 move from Ajax, having made ten appearances in the Premier League this season.

He had passed his medical earlier today, but the clubs were still in negotiations. With the transfer deadline for international deals at midnight in France, Chelsea appear to have sent several of the documents too late for the Moroccan international to be registered in time – meaning his loan contract has not been approved by the league authorities, the LFP

Loïc Tanzi of L’Équipe adds that the Ligue 1 leaders intend to submit an appeal to the LFP tomorrow. Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport adds that the West Londoners also sent the wrong document across on a number of occasions.
