Hakim Ziyech deal is signed and sealed, as Ajax star agrees terms

Hakim Ziyech is officially a Chelsea player. There didn’t look much doubt after it was announced a couple of weeks ago that a fee had been agreed.

Now, chelseafc.com have confirmed the Moroccan has agreed a five-year-deal. After agreeing terms, Ziyech said:

“I am delighted and proud to have signed for such a huge club as Chelsea. I am looking forward to next season and hope we can achieve great things together.”

The 26-year-old will officially join the club next summer, ahead of the new season. Chelsea director, Marina Granovskaia also had something to say about the signing:

“We are delighted Hakim will be joining us in the summer, having been a key target of the club’s in this last window. He has consistently been one of the most dangerous attacking players in Europe in recent years, which we saw first-hand in our two games against Ajax in the Champions League.”

Ziyech is an exciting signing. Showing versatility, and a being extremely potent with his left foot. The Morocco international is officially Frank Lampard’s first signing. If he can continue the form he shown in Eredivisie, Blues fans are in for a treat.
