Hajduk Split in discussions with Mainz over Richter

Hajduk Split are interested in signing Marco Richter, according to the latest update from Sky Germany.

Transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg is aware that talks between the Croatian giants and Mainz are ongoing.

The current plan is a one-year loan with a potential purchase option available from next summer.

Mainz are asking for around €2million, while Richter is keen to leave and the club don't intend to stand in his way.

Last season, the 27-year-old spent time on loan at Hamburger SV where he chipped in with a goal and 2 assists in 27 outings.
