Well, that didn’t take long did it?! Only 10-minutes have elapsed since Erling Haaland stepped out as a Man City player for the first time and he’s scored his first goal.
The frantic start of City’s clash with Bayern Munich saw Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish come close for City before Serge Gnabry had the ball in the back of the net for the Germans but the goal was pulled back for offside.
In the end, though it seemed inevitable that Haaland would be the first to score as, on the stretch, he tapped home Grealish’s squared pass.
Following the goal, play was interrupted due to incoming ‘inclement weather’ (which had already delayed the start of the game earlier).
The game has since resumed after a 30-minute break as halves are being reduced to 40-minutes each make up for the lost time.
