Erling Haaland’s goals-per-game ratio for the calendar year of 2022 absolutely dwarves his rivals.
The Norwegian has been in red-hot form since signing for Man City this last summer transfer window.
Against Southampton in the Premier League’s ninth round of fixtures, he bagged his 15th league goal of the campaign.
Which means that should he continue scoring at his current rate of knots and start every match, he would breach 60 Premier League goals this season.
Now, that's obviously unlikely to happen, but Haaland is still well on course to smash every existing English top-flight record under the sun in spectacular fashion.
And his scoring hasn't just been limited to the league. In his three Champions League fixtures for the club, he's bagged a further five goals.
To put it plainly, Haaland's goalscoring exploits are unprecedented - so good even, that his current goals-per-game ratio for 2022 is now miles better than his closest rival.
When we last covered the players with best goals-per-game ratio in June, Haaland was 10th on the list.
He had scored 10 at that point and averaged 0.71 goals-per-match.
Now, though, Haaland is averaging a quite ridiculous 1.11 goals every time he laces up his boots.
With that kind of average, it probably won't come as too much of a surprise to find that he is in fact totally in a league of his own.
Check out the full top 10 below.
10. Christopher Nkunku: 30 goals | 0.61 goals-per-game9. Lionel Messi: 23 goals | 0.62 goals-per-game8. Moussa Dembele: 20 goals | 0.67 goals-per-game7. Ciro Immobile: 21 goals | 0.68 goals-per-game 6. Wissam Ben Yedder: 26 goals | 0.68 goals-per-game5. Neymar: 26 goals | 0.79 goals-per-game4. Karim Benzema: 29 goals | 0.85 goals-per-game3. Robert Lewandowski: 34 goals | 0.92 goals-per-game2. Kylian Mbappe: 39 goals | 0.98 goals-per-game1. Erling Haaland: 39 goals | 1.11 goals-per-game
Nobody else in Europe can manage an average of more than one goal-per-game besides the lethal Haaland.
Mbappe does come close, though, and pips Lewandowski to second place in doing so.
Benzema and Neymar round off the best five, the pair are some margin clear of those placed in 6-10.
Meanwhile, Messi fans will be glad to see the Argentian icon managing a respectable ninth place whilst Ronaldo can't make the top 10 having suffered a downturn in form at Manchester United.
