According to Foot Mercato, Stéphane Dumont, the manager of Ligue 2 side Guingamp, would be Troyes’ priority as a replacement, should they make the decision to sack current manager Bruno Irles.

Two weeks ago, the same website revealed that the recently promoted side were looking at firing their manager, who came in to replace Laurent Batlles at the start of this calendar year, having fallen out with several key players at Troyes during this pre-season, with a group of them having gone directly to management to ask them to sack the coach.

Should they end the coach’s tenure just six months into his contract, Guingamp’s manager Stéphane Dumont is touted to step in. The 39-year-old, who played almost 200 games, winning the league and the cup, for Lille between 2003 and 2011, led Guingamp to a sixth place finish in last season’s Ligue 2 campaign, and is recognised as a rising talent, in the world of management.
