As reported by Mexican outlet Record, Mexico goalkeeping hero Guillermo Ochoa has given an emotional response to celebrations in Mexico in the aftermath of his dramatic penalty save from Poland’s Robert Lewandowski. Ochoa’s stop ensured a point in a 0-0 draw between the two teams in their Group C meeting at the World Cup.

Having seen footage of dozens of school children wildly celebrating his save and chanting his name, Ochoa said via social media: “This means everything… To my family, friends and loved ones who are always there when the going gets tough, this is for you and always for you, I love you.
