Federico Guidi was pleased with the Primavera’s win against Sampdoria earlier today, but highlighted that the Rossoneri could have killed the game earlier than they did.
Milan Primavera bounced back after two consecutive defeats with a 3-2 win against Samp earlier today, courtesy of goals from Sala, Ibrahimovic and Di Siena. As such, they are still within reach of the top position and this is very important.
Speaking to the media after the game (via MilanNews), the Primavera manager Federico Guidi shared his thoughts on the performance. Overall, he was pleased with his players but admitted that they could have killed the clash earlier than they did.
“We played a great first half, creating some nice goalscoring opportunities. We suffered in the final because we weren’t good at killing the game. They had a lot of attackers and a lot of height on the pitch, putting us in difficulty on set pieces and with crosses into the penalty area. There were a lot of games within the game, but I think the victory was deserved,” he stated.
Juventus are up next for Milan Primavera and that should indeed be an interesting game. The Bianconeri are currently in 10th position so Guidi’s boys are the favourites, but everything can happen in a big clash.
