This was easily the best of the lot, with Guendouzi involved in three goals as his team won 4-1.

With Marseille going 1-0 down in the early stages, they were immediately in for a fight. But Boubacar Kamara fired home a deflected effort from a Guendouzi cutback in the 27th minute to level the scores before half-time.

Guendouzi himself then gave Marseille the lead with a header (I know, you have to see it to believe it) early in the second half.

Arkadiusz Milik doubled the team’s advantage to 3-1 in the 85th minute, before Guendouzi made certain of the result with another goal in injury time.

This time, the on-loan Arsenal midfielder picked up the ball on the edge of the box, turned a defender and lashed a shot across the box as he fell to the ground.

The ball was turned into the net by a Lorient man, but it was ruled to already be on target, so Guendouzi’s goal and the cherry on top of a perfect night for the 22-year-old.

You can watch all three of Guendouzi’s goal contributions here, at 1:40, 2:52, and 3:32.
