And it has been revealed that Guardiola wants to bring Kane to the Etihad next summer.

The Catalan recently signed a two-year extension with City.

And the Independent reports Guardiola raised the prospect of signing Kane when discussing his new contract with the Sky Blues.

It is well known that Kane is desperate for trophies, and it is possible he could leave Spurs if they don't arrive this season.

In that case, Guardiola wants City at the front of the queue to sign the 27-year-old goal-machine.

A number of players are being considered to replace the ageing Sergio Aguero, but Kane would top that list if he became available.
