Borussia Dortmund will look to steady the ship as they travel to Greuther Furth in the Bundesliga this weekend.

Ahead of Sunday afternoon's clash, Marco Rose's men have hit a real rough patch. Following their 6-1 annihilation of Wolfsburg, BVB fell to a 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich (who in the process of beating their nemeses sealed the Meisterschale) before being stunned by VfL Bochum, who left Signal Iduna Park with a 4-3 victory last time out.

Second-placed Dortmund, however, will feel confident of resuming normality this weekend, coming up against a Greuther side rooted to the foot of the table and without a victory in ten Bundesliga outings.

Greuther Furth team news

Well, quite incredibly, Greuther Furth have a potential absentee list the same length as BVB.

The hosts may have to do without Jamie Leweling and Max Christiansen through Covid-19 while Jessic Ngankam, Jeremy Dudziak and Paul Seguin are all doubts due to their respective injury problems.

Meanwhile, Marco Meyerhofer, Robin Kehr, Marius Funk and Havard Nielsen will all definitely be absent through injury and will be joined on the sidelines by the suspended Jetro Willems.

Rose may be able to recall some of the names that have been missing in recent weeks, although quite a few remain doubtful to feature.

Gregor Kobel, Marcel Schmelzer, Mats Hummels and Donyell Malen are nearing returns to action, although Thomas Meunier, Mahmoud Dahoud, Gio Reyna, Steffen Tigges and Mateu Morey will all continue their spells in the treatment room.

Greuther Furth vs Borussia Dortmund prediction

Coming to the end of the campaign, Borussia Dortmund will surely want to conclude matters on a high note and, with Bayer Leverkusen threatening to pip them to second should this run of defeats continue, Saturday represents an opportunity for BVB to shore up the runners-up spot.

Against a side with three wins to its name all season and condemned to a basement finish already, chances don't really get much more perfect than this - anything but a BVB win would be quite the shock.
