Grenada, USVI looking to end on positive note in Group C

MIAMI, Florida – Group C of League C of the Road To W Gold Cup wraps up on Sunday with the United States Virgin Islands hosting Grenada at the Bethlehem Soccer Stadium in St. Croix, USVI.
Grenada have already clinched a first-place finish in the group, as they sit on nine points through three matches, five points ahead of second-place USVI, who have played three games as well.
Still, Grenada will be very keen to finish on a winning note and complete a perfect campaign. These two sides last met in the October window in what was a 4-0 win for Grenada.
However, the USVI certainly showed some toughness in that affair and had their fair share of scoring chances.
Nia Thompson leads the way for Grenada with six goals scored on the campaign, the most of any player in League C. Roneisha Frank has been solid as well with a goal and an assist, while Melania Fullerton has chipped in with a goal and two assists.
USVI earned their first win of the RTWGC on Wednesday with a 2-1 victory at Bahamas. Going forward, Mackiesh Taylor and Bianca Canizio were two of the heroes. Taylor had the opening goal, while Canizio tallied the winning score. Together, the two players have combined for 23 shots in the tournament.
GK Levania Lawrence also stood out in the two matches against Bahamas, helping her side get four points on the strength of 12 saves and five clearances.
