Grêmio nearly won back-to-back Copa Libertadores titles and have one of the best kits in the entire world. Demand for their kit is off the charts.
Can’t get to the official team shop to get a kit? Leaving Porto Alegre and want to represent the Immortal Tricolor? Well worry no more, Grêmio has got you covered.
A kit-making vending machine will be tested at the Porto Alegre airport for 90 days.
If the machine does well, similar ones will be installed in shopping centres, restaurants, and other public places.
The system is similar to vending machines that offer drinks and food. The purchase is made with credit or debit cards.
“The concept of this machine is new in football circles, so we need to enter the market on an experimental basis,” Beto Carvalho, Grêmio’s marketing executive, told the media.
“But considering the ease of distribution, coupled with the accessibility, practicality, and instantaneousness with which the product reaches the consumer, we are sure that it will be a successful product.”
Kits on demand? We’re certainly big fans of this initiative.
