Mason Greenwood has set his sights on delivering silverware at Manchester United after committing his long-term future at the club.

Greenwood, 19, put pen to paper on a new contract on Tuesday which will keep him at Old Trafford until 2025.

Asked about his ambitions at the club, Greenwood said: "Obviously, we all want to win trophies and are all working hard, 100 per cent in training and doing our best in games.

"Obviously, to win a trophy here would be amazing for me, it's just something I've always dreamed of at United. You see all the pictures on the wall around Old Trafford, all the trophies we've won, and it would be nice to win one soon."

The academy graduate continues to play an important role for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, having made 29 appearances this season across all competitions.

Greenwood is also enjoying learning from Edinson Cavani in training.

Asked if his new deal shows the faith his manager and staff have in him, Greenwood answered: "Yeah, obviously it shows the faith and I think they've been impressed at the end of last season. I'll do my best to get up to those standards again this season.

"Obviously learning off the likes of Edi [Edinson Cavani], who has come into the team and been very important, so I'm watching him every single day and listening to Kieran [McKenna] and Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] and all the coaching staff."
