Taking to Twitter/X, Chorianopoulos shared a story from Sportime.gr with the tagline that Sammy was involved in the deal.

As translated via Google, the article says that Palma’s agent facilitated the talks for the highly-rated Honduran but it was a Celtic legend that made sure he signed for the Hoops.

“Samaras was also involved in the whole case. The former international superstar had an impressive move from Celtic and is adored in Glasgow. After his departure from OFI, he has entered the agencies sector.

“During this period, Samaras has the role of consultant to the company that was involved in Aris’ deal with Celtic.

“His contribution was extremely important, the love for him on the “green” side of Glasgow is proverbial.

“He also played a key role in reaching the agreement.”

The Honduran winger has impressed during his time in Greece, scoring 17 goals and assisting 11 times, attracting interest from England, Belgium and Scotland. Palma confirmed that there was interest from Rangers but he only wanted to join the best club in the country.

Samaras left the club in 2014, having played 249 games, scoring 74 times. In his time at the club, he won four league titles, two Scottish cups and one League Cup.

Samaras Sunday at Ibrox was one of his finest moments for the club and hopefully Palma can have a similar impact this weekend.
