Thierry Henry is arguably the greatest player in Premier League history.

Not only did the Frenchman tear apart every defence across the land, but he did so with the kind of confidence and bravado that instilled fear in opponents before they even crossed the white line.

Henry's eye for goal

You only have to listen to the sheer amount of top-class defenders who listed Henry as their toughest ever adversary to appreciate the sort of impact that he had upon those who faced him.

And give or take his apparent aversion for scoring headers, Henry seemed capable of finding the net in any which way that he fancied and wasn't afraid to come up with unique ways to achieve that.

From his iconic flick up and volley goal against Manchester United to back-heel finish at home to Charlton Athletic, Henry would do anything and everything in order to bag himself a goal.

Henry's quick free-kick trick

And one of the cheekiest ways in which Henry found the net in the Premier League came through quick free-kicks with both Aston Villa and Chelsea becoming victims of the cunning approach.

Henry would casually stroke the ball home while the goalkeeper - in this case, Brad Friedel and Petr Cech - were still by the post organising their walls to the bewilderment of everyone watching.

However, in the end, the tactic caught up with him because Henry has since told the story of when Graham Poll prevented him from completing the stunt a third time during a trip to Wigan Athletic.

But just because the Premier League referee prevented Henry from taking the free-kick ahead of time, it didn't mean that the plan to find the back of the net was dead and buried.

Yes, that's right, Henry proceeded to score the free-kick anyway with an outrageous strike that pinged off the post and he even had the most badass reaction for Poll to crown it all off.

With the broadcast footage showing Henry asking: "Is that enough?" to the match official, it simply must go down as one of the coolest moments in Premier League history. Check it out down below:

Look at his face, look at his face - that's pure badassery.

Henry's reminisces on the stunning goal

And how do we know that Henry was mugging off Poll? Well, that's because he said so himself with the Arsenal legend explained the story behind the goal during an interview with James Maddison.

In fact, perhaps the only thing more badass than seeing Henry produce the stunning free-kick is seeing the man himself amusingly reminisce on it, so be sure to watch the discussion right here:

So, there you have it, episode number umpty-billion of Henry making the Premier League his playground. The heart rates of goalkeepers before free-kicks have never been the same again...
