Liverpool entertained Toulouse at Anfield earlier tonight as they focused on securing a positive result in the UEFA Europa League. The Reds began the match well and scored the opening goal in the ninth minute when Diogo Jota got his name on the scoresheet. However, the visitors equalised just seven minutes later thanks to Thijs Dallinga’s finish. Wataru Endo restored Liverpool’s lead at the half-hour mark before Darwin Nunez put his team 3-1 up in the 34th minute. Jurgen Klopp‘s men went into the half-time break 3-1 up on the scoreline.
Ryan Gravenberch killed the game off in the 65th minute before Mohamed Salah added another goal with a brilliant finish in injury time. The contest ended with Liverpool securing a dominant 5-1 win in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player performed during the clash against Toulouse.
GK: Caoimhin Kelleher – 6/10
He made a couple of good saves at the back but had a few nervy moments during the game.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 8/10
Alexander-Arnold didn’t do much wrong at the back and managed to engineer some promising chances in the Toulouse half. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CB: Joel Matip – 6.5/10
He dealt with the danger when needed and did enough to limit the opposition to just one goal.
CB: Joe Gomez – 8/10
Gomez used his pace well to clear his lines when required. He ended the game with an assist to his name.

LB: Luke Chambers – 6/10
Chambers worked hard but made some defensive mistakes inside his half.
CM: Curtis Jones – 7.5/10
The English talent managed to orchestrate a few inviting chances for others around him and deserves credit for bagging an assist.
CM: Wataru Endo – 9/10
Endo was a positive influence at both ends of the field and managed to score in the 30th minute.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 9/10
The Dutch talent was a constant menace in the final third and managed to find the back of the net in the 65th minute.
RW: Harvey Elliott – 7.5/10
He got stuck in with some solid tackles and made two decent runs with the ball.
ST: Darwin Nunez – 8.5/10
The Uruguay international was a real threat up top. He scored one but should have had a few more goals tonight.
LW: Diogo Jota – 8/10
Jota ran the channels well and scored the opening goal in the ninth minute.
Substitutes:
LM: Callum Scanlon – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
CB: Jarell Quansah – 6.5/10
Quansah kept things tidy at the back.
ST: Cody Gakpo – 6.5/10
He came off the bench and bagged an assist.

Salah was a constant menace in the final third.
