Charlotte Grant registered an assist for Australia as they secured their spot in this summer’s Olympics games after an emphatic 10-0 victory over Uzbekistan on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old entered onto the pitch in the 65th minute, replacing Steph Catley, and completed over 25 minutes for the Matildas as she helped set-up the final goal of the game for Amy Sayer.

The defender was found in acres of space down the left as she advanced towards the byline before pulling it back to in the box and, through a number of players, it found Sayer to convert from close-range.

Recording an impressive 13-0 scoreline over two-legs, the Matildas have now qualified as one of the teams for this summer’s Olympics, joining France, USA, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, New Zealand and Japan.

Elsewhere, Grace Clinton made her second start for England – scoring her first-ever senior international goal on her debut for the Lionesses last week – as the midfielder played 64 minutes before making way for Jess Park as Sarina Wiegman’s side recorded a 5-1 victory over Italy.

Celin Bizet featured in Norway’s second-leg game against Croatia as the 22-year-old started before making way in the 73rd minute, with Norway maintaining their spot in the UEFA Women’s Nation League A following an 8-0 win on aggregate, while defender Luana Bühler completed 45 minutes in Switzerland’s friendly against Poland.
