American journalist Grant Wahl has revealed that he was told to delete photos around his FIFA World Cup coverage by a security guard recently.

Wahl has posted about the incident on Twitter, revealing that he recently took a picture of the FIFA World Cup slogan at the wall of the media centre in Qatar, but a security stopped him from doing so and asked him to delete that image from his own.

Wahl’s blog post revealed that the security guard told him that he was not allowed to take pictures of the slogan, even though the journalist admittedly never did anything wrong and only took photos of the World Cup slogan.

This comes after a Danish television channel was threatened by authorities that their camera will be broken if they didn’t stop their live coverage from Qatar. Social media has been left ablaze with talk surrounding behaviour such as this in Qatar ahead of the World Cup.
