No player has given away more penalties for the same club than Granit Xhaka since the midfielder arrived in the Premier League.

On Sunday, Granit Xhaka gave Anthony Taylor the chance to point to the spot for Brighton and that’s exactly what he did.

Of course, when Alexandre Lacazette was fouled with more contact later in the game he didn’t get a penalty, but then again, the Frenchman seems invisible to officials.

The penalty was the fourth Xhaka has given away since he arrived from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2016.

In total, Arsenal have conceded 10 penalties this season. Five teams have conceded more with the top five looking like this:

  • Manchester United – 17
  • Crystal Palace 16
  • Brighton 14 (should have been 15)
  • Bournemouth – 14
  • Leicester 12
