Granit Xhaka has commented for the first time since he was booed off by Arsenal fans during their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Xhaka was replaced with 20 minutes to go during the Gunners draw with the Eagles at the weekend but was roundly jeered by his own supporters after he slowly trudged off the pitch.
The Switzerland international then cupped his hands to his ear and was seen to shout “f**k off'” back at the Emirates crowd.
Since then talk has been whether Unai Emery would take the captaincy off the midfielder, but Xhaka has used Arsenal’s Twitter feed to make his first official comment on the incident.
It’s unclear yet as to whether Xhaka will feature when Arsenal face Wolves this coming weekend.
