La Liga outfit Granada have today been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that a key member of the club’s midfield ranks has secured a return to first-team training.
The player in question? Gonzalo Villar.
Villar, for his part, was a notable absentee from the Granada squad to have been put through their paces by new head coach José Ramón Sandoval over the last couple of days.
This came owing to a muscular issue picked up last weekend.
Having featured in all but three of the Nazaríes’ La Liga outings across the season to date, it therefore no doubt marked a source of concern for all associated with the club to hear of Villar struggling for fitness.
If the latest word stemming from Andalusia is anything to go by, however, then the Granada faithful need not fret.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, the 25-year-old linked back up with his teammates in full training on Thursday morning.
Villar is therefore expected to be available to feature from the off, when his side return to action post-international break with a trip to the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, to face Cádiz.
