It was a goal-filled evening at the Nuevo Los Carmenes as Real Madrid cruised past Granada with a 4-0 victory, a result that came after Granada’s relegation had already been confirmed.

Before the game kicked off, Granada paid homage to the newly crowned La Liga champions with a guard of honor, acknowledging Real Madrid’s 36th league title.

As anticipated, Carlo Ancelotti fielded a rotated XI, giving starts to players like Joselu, Brahim Díaz, Arda Güler, Éder Militão, Fran García, and Thibaut Courtois.

Real Madrid asserted their dominance right from the start, with Granada testing their defense in the early stages, albeit without much success.

The scoring opened in the 38th minute when Fran García notched his first goal of the season, courtesy of a clever pass from Brahim Díaz intended for Joselu, who cleverly left it for the onrushing left-back to find the net.

Just before halftime, Arda Güler extended his impressive run with his third goal in as many league starts, receiving an assist from Fran García and capping off a strong first half for Real Madrid.

The second half saw Dani Ceballos feed Brahim Díaz in the 49th minute, who embarked on a dazzling run from midfield before slotting home, effectively putting the game beyond Granada’s reach.

Brahim Díaz was not finished yet, as in the 58th minute, a short pass from Luka Modrić found him, and he skillfully converted with his left foot, bringing his season tally to 12 goals.

Despite being down by four goals, Granada continued to push for a consolation goal, but the Madrid defense stood firm, thwarting any attempts.

Notably, Fran García and Dani Ceballos, who had endured a challenging season, stepped up in this game, demonstrating their abilities and justifying Ancelotti’s trust in them.

It was a comprehensive performance from Real Madrid, securing their 28th league victory. Up next, they face Alavés at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
