New Chelsea manager Graham Potter has confirmed that he will only form his opinion on winger Christian Pulisic after getting the chance to work with him.

90min revealed on Friday that Potter had held conversations with co-owner Todd Boehly about Pulisic, vowing to and dismissing enquiries from numerous sides about a possible January transfer.

Pulisic struggled for minutes under former boss Thomas Tuchel and was tipped to leave the club last summer, but with Potter now in charge, the 24-year-old American will get the opportunity to begin his career again.

"I think players go through periods of their careers where they have to suffer a little bit for whatever reason and don't get their gametime that they would like and it's part of the job, it's part of the sign up to being a Premier League player," Potter said.

"It's not straightforward to be a regular in a top-four team.

"I can only comment on him in terms of how he's been with me. Really positive, he's an intelligent guy, articulate, knows how to express himself.

"My conversation with him has been good and positive, I'm not going to judge anybody on what has happened in the past, I'm going to make my own mind up. Football hopefully decides."

Elsewhere, Chelsea remain in talks with RB Leipzig over a possible move for forward Christopher Nkunku, who earlier this year.

Talks over personal terms or a transfer fee are far from being complete, however, and while Chelsea are interested in signing the Frenchman, sources have stressed to 90min that the medical does not guarantee a future deal will be struck.
